Being in control of your life and having realistic expectations about your day-to-day challenges are the keys to stress management.

Shantelle Lawler

Shantelle Lawler, NP-C is a nurse practitioner who specializes in family practice since 2009. She completed her Master of Science degree at Midwestern State University at Wichita Falls, Texas. She holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Shantelle trained with Lisa Houk, FNP, BC in 2007-2008 in Pilot Point. The two NPs have partnered together on previous health adventures with Essential Oils. They both love helping people with natural alternatives. She now proudly serves our community at North Texas Family Medicine.

Shantelle grew up in Gainesville, Texas, here in our own county. She enjoys spending time with her loving family. Most especially she enjoys her beautiful grandkids. She works out physically on a routine basis and strives to eat healthy in order to be a good example to her patients. For family time, she looks forward to camping, visiting family in Arkansas, and riding her Harley with husband, Mike. They are faithful to their local community church in Era. Also, she and Mike have built many memories attending college football games each fall and hold season tickets at OU.

Shantelle has owned her own Nurse Practitioner practice and understands the American insurance industry constraints on our healthcare options. She seeks ways to help patients keep their costs down. By doing so, she empowers her patients to work with conservative measures with their nutrition, activity, sleep habits, and stress reduction, etc. in lieu or as a part of medicine when possible.

Her NP focus is on disease prevention and health promotion. Hence, she enjoys working with everyone on building their own plan of care for utmost outcomes. She reviews patients own personal goals and shares potential outcomes from those choices as per medical research. By doing so, she guides patients on how to improve their own health to reduce long-term unnecessary medical costs.

Staff have truly enjoyed having her on the NTFM team! She has a very calming spirit. She laughs easily and shares openly her heart for people. Shantelle is intuitive, a deep thinker, uses good common sense, approachable, and extremely kind. Come meet our very own Shantelle Lawler, NP-C!
